Learning how to maneuver through Premiere Pro was a bit complicated but it was overall easy to learn. I have never used a professional editing software; however I have used other, less professional, software like Capcut. With having prior information on intermediate software, learning the basics were really simple for me on Premiere Pro. However, there were some themes I had to thoroughly watch the tutorial video to understand how to use the function like the beginning "I" button and the "O" cut button while editing sequences and adding lower thirds.

While creating this clip, my experience was enjoyable. The reason for this was because I found it amusing to set up a video clip to my liking. I was able to customize my clip into what I wanted. I was able to have multiple successes because I was able to get most of my video done with minimal rewatching of the tutorial videos. I was able to successfully import all of my media, adjust my editing screen, adjust audio, and other successes. But to reach these successes there was a few things I had to learn. For example, I had a hard time figuring out how to adjust the audio and I had to rewatch the tutorial video to truly understand how to do it. I was confused because I wanted the audio to fade out and not the entire volume of the clip lower; I found out that to fix this issue I had to press the pen tool and click on the grey line in the middle of the audio clip to create key frame dots. These dots are mainly used to fade outs or fade ins. Additionally, I struggled with lower thirds. I struggled with lower thirds because I was not sure how to find the template ones with the transitions. I really liked how the transitions looked like in the tutorial video, so I wanted to do the same. I was able to find it by pressing the topic left corner and changing the editing theme to captions. This brought multiple templates to my screen and I was able to pick the one I liked the most.
With the new information I have learned, I will use it to strengthen my future portfolio project. I was able to learn various new techniques about editing and these basics will be foundational for making sure if my portfolio is appealing or not. For example, since I learned how to adjust audio I can avoid having awkward pauses in the middle of the sequences or clips. Moreover, sequences are super important to note because it keeps the audience involved with the media and this is crucial. Hopefully, I will learn more techniques that will help me improve my editing skills and with strengthen my portfolio's potential.
